some random observations on the 2009 home sched., opening day less than 2 months away:
sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/sche...x.jsp
three bobbleheads: tim-cy, jon miller (yes!), and brian wilson (but will he still be closing by then?).
i love the saturday night at 6 games, and there are several.
THERE WILL BE OCTOBER BASEBALL AT THE OLDE BALLYARD: october 1, 12:45 vs. diamondbacks. should at least be good for winning a bar bet or two.
interleague visits are (yuck) angels and (yawn) rangers. NO NATIONAL LEAGUE HOME GAMES IN JUNE, which strikes me as unnatural.
Four game weekend sets vs. mets (may), phillies (june-july), and cubs (late september playoff preview?) should be fun.
more tierred pricing to annoy, although if you have season seats you reap the benefits of one low price. of course you also have to find someone to go with you to see the rockies.
cheezy's braves are coming to town the end of may.
holiday day games for memorial day and fourth of july. beats working.

I heard about the Lincecum one couple months ago. The other two are way cool.
>i love the saturday night at 6 games, and there are several.
Bleah. Saturday night is a date night for me. Saturday night games are for other cities. What happened to good old fashioned Saturday DAY games in SF?
>interleague visits are (yuck) angels and (yawn) rangers. NO NATIONAL LEAGUE HOME GAMES IN JUNE, which strikes me as unnatural.
Don't forget the series vs the A's and the '89 team reunion. :) No NL games in June does seem a bit weird.

I hear the Giants may adjust ticket prices down depending on demand. So you might get to see the Rockies cheaply without having to go with your weirdo cousin or aunt. :) -

I remember a Giants/Rox game about three years ago when Royce Clayton forgot how many outs there were in an early inning of the game. The guy sitting next to my friend & I started a chant of "Royce can't count! Royce can't count!" *g*
